Piddington Periodical is a place where good ideas and contributions to all aspects of law and practice can find a home.

We want to publish a wide range of pieces from, and to, a broad array of people. Piddington Periodical is open-access and free.

You can make a submission to Piddington Periodical by emailing periodical@pidsoc.org.au

Here is some guidance to get you started:

  • We’d prefer to receive a full piece rather than a concept, we are looking for content ready to go.
  • It should be around 700–1000 words, but we are open to shorter and longer pieces.
  • Something original is preferred, but we can work with something you have already written or presented and give it the Piddington flair. For example, you may have published a case note on LinkedIn or through a firm or chambers publication, which, if agreed by the original publisher, we would be happy to republish.
  • Articles can be anything from case notes, legislative changes, issues in practice, or any pertinent theme facing the profession, or the administration of justice, more broadly. Personal reflections are also welcome.
  • We would like a clear, practical take-away.
  • We will ask for a by-line and photo if you don’t provide them.
  • If you can think of a picture to go with it, then we would love to include it.
  • Hyperlinks to cases, reports or statistics are helpful.
  • Submit your piece in the body of an email or in a Word document

Most importantly, we want you to contribute to the Piddington voice: collegial, informative and inclusive.
